Britain's intelligence agency says Russian army losses are colossal

The average daily losses of the Russian army in February 2024 were the highest since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The average daily number of Russian losses (killed and wounded) on the territory of Ukraine during February 2024 was the highest since the beginning of the war. This was reported by the British Ministry of Defence on Twitter (X).
According to the agency, in February, the Russian occupation forces lost an average of 983 people per day.
According to experts, as of today, the Russian Federation has probably lost more than 355 thousand servicemen killed and wounded during the war in Ukraine.
British intelligence pointed out that the rise in average daily casualties almost certainly reflects Russia's commitment to mass and gruelling warfare.
While costly in terms of human lives, this effect is increasing the pressure on Ukraine's positions across the front line, the intelligence added.
According to the AFU General Staff, Russia has already lost more than 416,000 soldiers on the frontline since the start of the full-scale war.
