- Zelensky said on what financial support Ukraine counts on in 2026

Kiev expects not only to maintain international aid, but also to lay the country's financial stability for several years ahead.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Kiev is actively working with European partners to provide the country with financial support in the amount of 40-45bn dollars as early as next year. This was reported by Ukrinform.
Answering journalists' questions about possible risks of reducing international aid, the head of state stressed that Ukraine counts on about $90 billion of support in 2026-2027.
Zelenskyy reminded that a significant part of the funds comes from the EU countries within the framework of about 30 bilateral agreements, and it is crucial for Ukraine to maintain these amounts without cuts.
The President noted separately that Ukraine continues to fight for the use of frozen Russian assets or alternative financial mechanisms tied to them:
We are fighting for this and nobody is lowering their hands," Zelensky emphasised.
Earlier, the European Commission proposed to split the so-called "reparation loan" for Ukraine into two areas:
production and purchase of weapons;
budget support in the amount of 90bn euros to be provided over two years.
