Both Ukrainian and foreign specialists are involved in demining the territories.

It will take more than 10 years to clear the territory of Ukraine. This was reported by a press officer of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Oleksandr Khorunzhyi, during an information telethon.

We have a general figure, approximately we have counted on clearing our lands. It could take more than 10 years to clear all the land," he said.

Khorunzhy said that the figures available to rescue workers are only approximate, as the situation in the occupied territories remains unknown.

I think that there is a lot of work for our deminers and pyrotechnics, because the enemy has mined vast areas, is building fortifications. The process is not quick, but we are working," he said.

According to him, in the past 24 hours 40 hectares of Ukrainian territory have been cleared of explosive objects, and since the start of a full-scale invasion - more than 81 thousand hectares.

We shall remind you that the EU countries have allocated 25m euros for demining Ukrainian territories.
