Two ancient books tried to be smuggled out of Ukraine

The books the Ukrainian tried to smuggle out concern the trade history of modern Romania and Moldova.
Two ancient books have been tried to be exported from Ukraine. This was reported by the State Border Service.
It is indicated that during the inspection of the car at the checkpoint "Diakivtsy", which was travelling to Romania, the border guards together with customs representatives in the luggage compartment found two books of 1922 and 1935 years of publication.
The finds are likely to be of historical and cultural value. At present they are sent for expertise," the border guards said.
Customs officials drew up a protocol on this fact.
According to open sources, the books, which were noticed on the Ukrainian border, are written in Romanian. They tell about the trade of Moldova and Romania. In particular, they talk about products, soil, fairs and markets, merchants, trade agreements, laws and statutes, customs and duties. The books describe prices at the time, imports and exports of products in present-day Romania and Moldova.
