Russian books handed over for waste paper in Priluki

The money received as part of the action was sent to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the city of Priluki, Chernihiv region, local residents have been collecting Russian books for a month to send them for waste paper. The action was held within the framework of the initiative "Enemy literature for waste paper, and money for the Armed Forces of Ukraine." The collected books will be sent for processing, and the proceeds will be transferred to Ukrainian defenders, writes Suspіlne .
In addition to the local residents themselves, two educational institutions joined the action.
These are not just Russian-language books, but those that were written by authors who promote the ideology of imperial or communism, and also support Russia's aggression against independent Ukraine throughout history until now, - explained the head of the municipal department of culture, Kateryna Movchan.
At the same time, she clarified that in a month they managed to collect about 2 tons of such books. 5.5 tons of hryvnia came out for them. The funds were donated to the Mystetsky Barvy Charitable Foundation, which has been actively raising funds for the military at the front since February 24.
Movchan noted that the action could be extended, as people continue to demolish Russian literature.
