"Putin's friend" Wagenknecht plans to run for chancellor of Germany

Sarah Wagenknecht believes it is impossible to defeat Russia.
Sahra Wagenknecht (Sahra Wagenknecht) 55-year-old native of the East German city of Jena, who leads the party "Union of Sara Wagenknecht - for reason and justice", a member of the Bundestag is considering the possibility of running for the post of Chancellor of Germany. About it writes Welt.
"If it becomes customary for every leading party candidate to refer to himself as 'candidate for chancellor', we may have to follow suit," she said.
At the same time, she agreed that the ratings of the party she leads are low, which is not a good start for trying to become Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Our ratings are between six and nine per cent. This is not the level at which one usually runs for Chancellor," Wagenknecht said.
Note, Germany is on the verge of early parliamentary elections after the ruling coalition declared unacceptable controversies over the country's economic course. At the same time, Chancellor Olaf Scholz sacked Finance Minister Christian Lindner, the leader of the Free Democratic Party, with whom there was the most controversy.
Earlier, Sarah Wagenknecht said talks with Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin were necessary and called U.S. politicians "war criminals." Wagenknecht recently proposed her "peace plan" to end the war in Ukraine: the West would stop supplying arms to Kiev if the Russian head of state "agrees to an immediate ceasefire on the current front line."
