Britain says under what circumstances Putin will start a war in Europe

Europe does not rule out a Russian attack on NATO countries.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is capable of unleashing an open conflict with Europe only in case of extreme desperation, not because of confidence in the rapid achievement of military goals. This was stated by retired British Colonel Glen Grant on the air of "Espresso".
What you can see now across Europe is that companies are starting to ramp up drone production, as well as forging closer links with the front line to better understand real needs. Several countries are also increasing their armed forces. We are already seeing this with Poland and Germany, two key nations. Finland, for its part, is expanding its military training," he said.
The colonel noted that Europe now better understands the need for serious changes in the security and defence sphere, but these steps are still not enough.
So, in my opinion, there is a growing realisation in Europe that serious changes are needed. Is it enough? I don't think so. But it is still better than nothing," Grant added.
He emphasised that Europe as a whole has much greater potential than Russia, except perhaps in the nuclear sphere.
But even this question is doubtful today, because it is known that a significant part of Russian nuclear missiles are improperly maintained and are not in the best condition," the military expert specified.
According to Grant, Vladimir Putin will decide to go to war with Europe only when other options for solving problems for the Kremlin have been exhausted.
