All evacuation trains are met by Red Cross volunteers (photo)

All evacuation trains with refugees are met by volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross. This is reported by the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.

After the meeting, volunteers transport passengers who need special transport conditions to medical centres or shelters.

Every day volunteers of rapid response units of the Ukrainian Red Cross meet evacuation trains with people who have decided to leave their homes and move to a safe place as far away from the front line as possible, - stated in the message.

In particular, volunteers of the rapid response unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross in Dnipropetrovsk region met an evacuation train from Pokrovsk in Donetsk region.

Also in the morning of 20 March, in Khmelnytskyi, volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross together with rescuers of the State Emergency Service met another evacuation train with residents of Kherson region.

They were helped to get off the train, carry their belongings, and were given first psychological aid.
