Eurovision will be held in Kyiv in May 2017. The capital of Ukraine has won the right to host the biggest musical event in Europe on the results of the contest among 5 cities: Kherson, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Lviv, Odessa, Kyiv.
During the Organizing Committee press briefing on September 9 CEO of the National Television Company of Ukraine Zurab Alasania said that he majority has voted for the capital: «19 votes have been given for Kyiv, two voices — for Odessa and one — abstained. So we have chosen».
The main musical arena of the next year will be the International Exhibition Center in Kiev, located on the left bank of the Dnieper. This location has the necessary technical and logistical resources to create appropriate conditions for rehearsals, actors, journalists and placement of about 11 thousand spectators and fans.
